Turn off the wireless function and directly connect your computer to the router with an Ethernet cable. Reboot the computer and check for an internet connection.

Dec 19, 2015 · I have a Netgear Wireless-N Dual Band N600 USB Network Adapter. I'm running the software: Netgear WNDA3100v2 Genie version I had Windows 7 Pro for a year using this adapter without a single issue. I did the free upgrade to Windows 10 Pro and I lose connection every 5-10 minutes now. Everything is working perfectly and last night, suddenly, I lost connection on both wifi and ethernet. I thought my internet was down but I connected directly to the modem and found the internet to be fine. I rebooted everything and that didn't work. I then did the reset to which I couldn't get my computer to see the router. What will happen is randomly the LAN ports will drop the connection to the internal devices. Typically it happens about every 5 - 10 minutes but we have also seen it last several hours before dropping.
